I know Valentines Day is still weeks away but were thinking about it over her in my slice of suburbia so I thought I’d start the week off with a few gift ideas for him and her. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as there are more gifts, crafts and ideas to come …

Adventurous Classes -- If you’re sure your Valentine won’t be offended, buy her pole dancing or teasersize lessons at the local gym or community center. Go more conservative with belly dancing or hip-hop lessons.

Seasonal Tickets -- Buy a long-term pass for something you love: the opera, ballet, symphony, ballgames or community theatre. Promise to go to each event, or promise to let them go with their friends – whichever makes them happiest!

Notice What They Want and Get Personal -- What does your Valentine love? Hints are dropped all the time, accidentally or on purpose. “I love that perfume bottle, but it’s too expensive,” or “I’ve always wanted to eat there,” these are great romantic Valentine’s Day gifts when you follow up on them.

Listen to your Valentine and write down ideas as they pop out – or you’ll forget them and will forever struggle with finding the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. (My man and I each have a memo pad in our Blackberry’s for when we need to write down gift ideas—its quite helpful, I must say, and just restricted to Valentine’s gifts.)
