A place where fellow suburbanites can go to find things To Do, To Buy and To Think about to help them turn their Suburban Blah’s to Ah’s … We are fun, quirky and playful and try to help you keep the URBAN in your SubUrban lives.

Why did you create this site?
I created Bored in the Burbs as an answer to many of the questions, advice, thoughts and things I began to notice around me in my suburban enclave by the sea. My goal is to offer fellow savvy suburbanites a place to go to feel inspired to add a bit of URBAN back into their SubUrban lives. Sure we may have physically moved out of the city for greener pastures and more closet space but mentally still crave the energy, culture and vibrancy of the city.

How does the site work?
We share thoughts, viewpoints, reccommendations, and tons of other fun and quirky things. Our content is easily categorized by "stuff TO DO", "stuff TO BUY", and "stuff TO THINK ABOUT".

Is your content strictly limited to reccomendations?
No. We also offer advice and feedback through our "Dear Suburban Sage" feature, and we occasionally feature other fellow surbanites of interest in our "Suburban Spotlight" section. Coming soon VIDEOS!

Anyone! Although our content is geared toward suburbia, there is no doubt that MANY people get bored. Let us help bring the fun and inspiration back into your daily routine.
